La Corriente

The Catimor variety, green gold of teh Finca Renacer and foundation of our plantation, whose land is watered by fiery waterfalls essential to the life of each grain

Constant and sometimes powerful water is an important presence at planting. Its vigor favors the cultures, sometimes to the disadvantage of the gatherers and it is an essential in the way of life in the mountains. It was in honour of this precious water that we named our first coffee variety, La Corriente, a Spanish translation for « Stream ».

Finca Renacer, Nicaragua has developped 40 ha de Catimor
High disease resistance, resistant to coffee rust
Smaller plant, hybrid of Timor and Caturra
Spread to Central America, given its attractive yield
Optimal altitude is between 700 m and 1000 m
Has high productivity if well maintained, closely monitored, and properly fertilized, which can be expensive
